The future of digital learning

Last week we had an opportunity to be a participant of the first regional conference “Learning disruption” in Zagreb.
This conference deal with innovative and digital models of learning in an existing business environment. That helps the digital transformation of the companies, through digital and innovative organizational learning.

This conference was opened by the organizer, Alan Žepec from LQ Croatia.
The first keynote speaker was Donald H Taylor, a global leader in learning and development from the UK. How to build the L&D department of the 21st century. A very inspirational and very interesting lecture about future settings of organizational learning. His great presentation skills made this topic even more interesting.

The second keynote speaker was Claus Kjeldsen from Denmark. He is a Futurist with 10 years of experience as a CEO of the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies. What is the future of business learning? That was a question which Claus try to answer through his presentation.
But, how can we implement digital learning in the “real world”, in a business environment? The real case, Credit Libanais was presented by Bassam Nammour from Credit Libanais.

The central event of this conference was the panel “Knowledge & Business – Come together”.

 

Alan Žepec (moderator), Irena Bašić Štefanić, Tomislav Dominković, Boris Trupčević & Ivan Skender tried to answer a very difficult question, which methodology to use in order to gain the best learning results. The result was blended learning, the mix between training in person and e-learning.

After lunch, we had two parallel blocks of sessions (9 sessions in total) about many different topics regarding digital learning, sharing best experiences, developing digital skills, etc

In the end, it was a good conference and a good organization as well.

The greatest value of this conference is learning, definitely. The future of learning? Let’s wait until next year and for the second conference.
