{"id":3808,"date":"2020-09-10T09:12:01","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T08:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/?p=3808"},"modified":"2020-09-21T08:36:56","modified_gmt":"2020-09-21T07:36:56","slug":"agile-i-data-science-kao-savrsen-spoj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/sr\/agile-i-data-science-kao-savrsen-spoj\/","title":{"rendered":"Agile i Data Science kao savr\u0161en spoj?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kako sam se pre par meseci upoznala sa manifestom agilne metodologije &#8211; vrednostima i principima, najzanimljivije mi je bilo da razmi\u0161ljam o njegovoj primeni u Data Science projektima. Ideja je vrlo jednostavna, me\u0111utim, duboko sam ube\u0111ena da svaka od vrednosti ima svoj disclaimer&nbsp; &#8211; primenljivo u jednom kontekstu, u drugom nije, zbog toga i toga, i sli\u010dno. Agile manifest kao korak napred u odnosu na tradicinalne metodologije kao \u0161to je tzv. vodopad trebalo bi da omogu\u0107i da se smanji razlika u komunikaciji koja postoji izme\u0111u klijenta i vendora, dok sa druge strane &#8211; odgovori na sve br\u017ei razvoj novih tehnologija, i sve \u0107e\u0161\u0107e promene u inicijalnim zahtevima, koje&nbsp; nastaju kao posledica dinamike rada, digitalizacije i konkurentnog tr\u017ei\u0161ta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Podsetimo se agilnih vrednosti kroz prizmu Data Science-a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pojedinci i interakcije ispred procesa i alata<\/strong>. U Data Science-u, interakcije su klju\u010dne zarad razumevanja i definisanja problema, odnosno izvla\u010denja maksimalne vrednosti na osnovu analize. Jako je bitno zadr\u017eati kriti\u010dki um, i ukazivati na nepravilnosti. Neki uvidi \u010desto navode na promenu smera i re\u0161avanje stvari koje nisu bile definisane scope-om, \u0161to ponekad podrazumeva i\u0107i van procesa. Sa druge strane, ograni\u010davanje analitike na odre\u0111ene alate i tehnologije mo\u017ee rezultuje okrnjenom analizom i neupotrebljivim uvidima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Primenljiv softver ispred detaljne dokumentacije<\/strong>. Ovo je mo\u017eda vrednost o kojoj najvi\u0161e mo\u017ee da se diskutuje kroz prizmu Data Science-a. Imati primenljiv softver i delivery je jako va\u017eno, me\u0111utim pisanje detaljne dokumentacije i obja\u0161njenja na koji na\u010din su podaci uzorkovani i pripremljeni, koji modeli su i za\u0161to kori\u0161\u0107eni, \u0161ta stoji iza tih modela, i kako tuma\u010diti njihov output, kakve su o\u010dekivane performanse &#8211; sve ovo je jako va\u017eno detaljno razdraditi kako bi se pored isporu\u010denog re\u0161enja osigurala i njegova upotrebna vrednosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saradnja sa klijentima ispred ugovornih aran\u017emana<\/strong>. Kao i u svakom razvoju re\u0161enja, imati dobru saradnju sa klijentima je preduslov za sve. U Data Science-u je ovo jako bitno, \u0161to kroz razumevanje domena kroz interakciju sa klijentom, \u0161to kroz tuma\u010denje i testiranje re\u0161enja koje se isporu\u010duje, od strane klijenta. Budu\u0107i da je specifi\u010dna oblast, jako je va\u017eno uspostaviti saradnju sa klijentom koja podrazumeva ulaganje zajedni\u010dkih napora kako bi se kreiralo re\u0161enje koje \u0107e imati upotrebnu vrednost &#8211; naj\u0107e\u0161\u0107e vrednost re\u0161enja direktno zavisi od znanja koje \u010du\u010di kod domenskih eksperata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reakcija na promenu ispred pridr\u017eavanja plana<\/strong>. U ovome se Agile i Data Science najvi\u0161e poklapaju. Mnogo je \u010dest slu\u010daj da se kao rezultat analize probudi neka nova ideja o budu\u0107im koracima, unapre\u0111enju ili prilago\u0111avanju postoje\u0107eg plana, i zato je potrebno biti agilan i ne pridr\u017eavati se slepo definisanog&nbsp; plana, kako bi se uspe\u0161no odgovaralo na ovakve zahteve. Plan jeste jako bitan, ali zastareva i postaje neupotrebljiv kako se ciljevi redefini\u0161u i menjaju.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Da budem dovoljno jasna &#8211; to \u0161to su Agile i Data&nbsp; Science, kako&nbsp; sam ih u naslovu okarakterisala &#8211; \u201csavr\u0161en spoj\u201d, ne zna\u010di da u realizaciji dovode uvek do savr\u0161enog ishoda. Ono \u0161to sam \u017eelela da naglasim u toj karakterizaciji je upravo to \u0161to Agile dozvoljava Data Scientistima&nbsp; da budu &#8211; Data Scientisti. A to zna\u010di da mogu da se posvete istra\u017eivanju, da u&nbsp; zavisnosti od toka analize i&nbsp; izvu\u010denih&nbsp; uvida menjaju smer kretanja&nbsp; i redefini\u0161u ciljeve, da usko sara\u0111uju sa klijentima u poku\u0161ajima da prona\u0111u re\u0161enje, i tako dalje. Dalje, ako se govori o agilnim principima (onih \u010duvenih dvanaest), velike su \u0161anse da \u0107e se svaki Data Scientist\/developer na prvu loptu slo\u017eiti sa svakim od njih. To i jeste lepota agilnih principa &#8211; definisani su tako, da se mogu uspe\u0161no primeniti na svaki projekat. Kada se malo razmisli, postoje neki principi koji jesu diskutabilni &#8211; npr. princip koji govori da najbolja arhitektura, zahtevi i dizajn dolaze od samo-organizuju\u0107ih timova. Ja verujem u ovo. Ali, jedan jako va\u017ean preduslov za ovo je &#8211; na\u010din na koji su ti timovi sa\u010dinjeni. Ukoliko u&nbsp; tom timu nisu ljudi koje krasi inovativnost, \u201cgrowth mindset\u201d, autonomija i odgovornost &#8211; vrlo verovatno \u0107e ova ideja pasti u vodu. Prosto, naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e se desi da su timovi napravljeni &#8211; kako mora, i ponekad&nbsp; je&nbsp; evidentno&nbsp; da timu fali lider koji \u0107e ga nadgledati i voditi. Mogla bih ovako o svakom principu ponaosob, ali zadr\u017ea\u0107u se samo na ovom, a dopustiti vama da porazmislite o dobrim i&nbsp; lo\u0161im stranama svakog (ili situacijama kada bi neki princip mogao biti osporen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3805\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/bcoaching.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/vanja-jos-678x381.jpg 678w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Me\u0111utim, postoji nekoliko (ozbiljnijih) problema, koji mogu da se pojave kao posledica ovog spoja, a to su:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>lo\u0161e i \u0161turo (ili \u010dak nikakvo) dokumentovanje procesa istra\u017eivanja, jer je fokus na uvidima i rezultatima &#8211; \u0161to mo\u017ee predstavljati problem ukoliko neko drugi treba da se uklju\u010di u proces<\/li><li>jako \u010deste promene zahteva mogu da odvedu analizu u potpuno drugom smeru, te je zbog toga te\u0161ko definisati \u201cacceptance\u201d kriterijume i vremenske rokove &#8211; ponekad proces razvoja nekog modula oduzme i vi\u0161e meseci (nepotrebno)<\/li><li>klijenti nemaju&nbsp; uvek razumevanja za mr\u0161ave rezultate prediktivnih modela, \u0161to onda uti\u010de na komunikaciju i kvalitet saradnje<\/li><li>tako\u0111e, klijenti \u010desto veruju da je Data Science magi\u010dno oru\u017eje koje \u0107e re\u0161iti sve njihove poslovne probleme &#8211; \u0161to opet uti\u0107e na komunikaciju, kvalitet&nbsp; saradnje i prakti\u010dnu upotrebu re\u0161enja<\/li><li>Data Scientisti \u010desto imaju problem sa ose\u0107anjem velikog pritiska &#8211; njihovo re\u0161enje te\u0161ko je opredmetiti, a kada se opredmeti, kriti\u010dno je zavisno od&nbsp; ulaznih podataka, na koje oni ne mogu da uti\u010du<\/li><li>Komunikacije na dnevnom nivou mogu da budu deprimiraju\u0107e, jer \u010desto se desi da na nekim Data Science taskovima nema zna\u010dajnog progresa nekoliko dana uzastopno, gde se ideja \u010destih i inkrementalnih pomeraja gubi<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilo kako bilo, ono \u0161to je najbitnije je prepoznati u kom trenutku napraviti optimalan trade-off izme\u0111u agilnih vrednosti i onoga \u0161to je potrebno timu. U nastavku mo\u017eete na\u0107i par smernica kako to mo\u017ee uspe\u0161no da se uradi, koje sam izvukla na osnovu svog iskustva:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>neka timovi budu krosfunkcionalni, jako je bitno da tim okuplja role razli\u010ditih ve\u0161tina, kako&nbsp; bi mogao&nbsp; da iznese projekat od po\u010detka do kraja, gde bi trebalo voditi ra\u010duna o tome da tim ne bude premali ili preveliki (5-6 \u010dlanova po timu bi trebalo da bude optimalno)<\/li><li>kako bi se pratio pogres, a obezbedila kontinuirana i inkrementalna isporuka &#8211; najbolje je raditi u sprintovima, gde je svakome jasno na kojim taskovima radi u svakom sprintu, i \u0161ta se o\u010dekuje na kraju sprinta (po meni, sprintovi od dve nedelje su u Data Science-u sasvim korektan period u kome je mogu\u0107e ostvarivati progres)<\/li><li>potrudite se da i na R&amp;D projektima imate inkrementalni progres &#8211; u suprotnom \u0107e ti projekti trajati celu ve\u010dnost, i izgubiti upotrebnu vrednost &#8211; defini\u0161ite o\u010dekivanja od svake faze istra\u017eivanja, kako biste po potrebi znali kada da prese\u010dete i po\u010dnete sa ulaganjem napora u ne\u0161to korisnije<\/li><li>biti agilan != biti haoti\u010dan. Ovo je klopka u koju se jako lako upada. U redu je da dinami\u010dki odgovarate na novonastalu situaciju, me\u0111utim &#8211; nepromi\u0161ljeno delanje brzo vodi ka haoti\u010dnoj realizaciji, \u0161to uzrokuje kontraefekte &#8211; a to nije ideja agilne metodologije<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Budu\u0107i da je Data Science tako \u0161arenolik, u zavisnosti od toga \u0161ta podrazumeva Data Science projekat na kome radite &#8211; mogu\u0107nost primene agilnih metoda \u0107e se razlikovati od jednog do drugog projekta. Ukoliko radite na&nbsp; razvoju proizvoda,&nbsp; Data Science u tom smislu postaje ni\u0161a softverskog in\u017eenjerstva, gde se primena agilnih metodologija i scruma pokazuju kao jako korisne. Sa druge strane, ukoliko radite na one-time projektima ili re\u0161enjima &#8211; primena mo\u017ee biti mnogo bla\u017ea i smislena samo u odre\u0111enim fazama.
