Sara Portell

Sara is a global product and UX leader with a career in tech spanning over 15 years across five countries. Her approach prioritizes a human-first perspective, incorporating insights from diverse cultures and backgrounds into technological innovation. She holds master's degrees in Strategy and Management and Behavioural Science and is currently the Vice President of User Experience at Unit 4. Previously, Sara has played strategic roles at Shopify and Expedia, leading product research internationally. She is at the forefront of pioneering advancements in SaaS enterprise software, merging UX best practices and AI to enhance business operations and employee experiences. Sara is also deepening her expertise through a PhD in Psychology of Emotions and Wellbeing at The Catholic University of Portugal. Her research aims to leverage AI to improve professional well-being and ensure successful adaptation to changing market demands and technological advancements. Her mission is to make technology a powerful catalyst for growth and enhanced well-being by developing solutions that uplift human potential.
